To find out more about this Israeli born New Yorker, caseable caught up with Mark on our virtual sofa.

You moved from Israel to New York in your late twenties. That must have been a bit of a culture shock! What changed for you in “The Big Apple”?

I remember arriving in New York like it was yesterday, a feeling of freedom was just in the air. This feeling of freedom that I felt gave me the opportunity to be myself, 100%.

American culture has obviously influenced your work enormously, what else inspires you to create?

I’m inspired be whatever I feel in that particular moment. I think creativity is a direct reflection of my soul and how I feel.

Looking on your website, we can’t help notice the incredible amount of work you create. Seriously, you're a picture making machine! How do you do it?

Yes, i'm currently making one piece of work every day. My creative work helps me to relieve my pain and makes me feel happy and prepared for the new day. I feel like I need it to survive.

More importantly, why do you do it?

I make work because it makes me feel disconnected from reality, it gives me a break from the mundane. It also helps generate an income too :)

What fascinates us is that you cover so many different styles. Collage, photography, pop art, surrealism the list could go on. What’s your favorite medium/method and why?

I don’t really have a favorite style. I think the reason for this is that I get bored fast. I need different styles and methods to stimulate my imagination.

One of your bestselling designs is the provocative “Face Strawberry”. Why do you think that is?

The picture has very bold colors. It’s also a very sexual expression and I think people are attracted to this over anything else.

Do you have any exciting projects coming up? / Tell us what you’re working on at the moment.

The picture has very bold colors. It’s also a very sexual expression and I think people are attracted to this over anything else.

What are your plans for the future?

The only thing I hope for myself is to always have inspiration and never dry up. I also hope that I continue to receive the amazing feedback from the world, as I do now.
